Our kindling fire lighting wood (firechips) are sourced from a traditional West Sussex wood yard who in turn obtains it from local factories as a waste product. It then machine chops it and bags it.
We store our Kindling sacks undercover so they arrive with you dried out and ready to use. They can be used in open fires, wood burning stoves and Chimeneas etc. Each sack weighs approximately 5kg but as they are a natural product this can vary both up and down.
Carbon Dioxide released from burning wood is equivalent to the CO₂ absorbed by the tree in its growing life, this is unlike other types of fuels, as burning wood is effectively carbon neutral.
